Membership — Terms, Conditions & Privacy Policy

These terms form a legal agreement between you and JDD Strength & Recovery Hub Limited. These terms apply to both the Founding Membership (£89.99/month, first 30 members) and the Full Membership (£99.99/month). By ticking the acceptance box at checkout you agree to Part A (Terms & Conditions) and Part B (Privacy Policy).

Summary:

Part A — Terms & Conditions

1. Who you are contracting with

Your membership is provided by JDD Strength & Recovery Hub Limited ("the Hub", "we", "us"), company number 17230171, registered office 21a High Street, Maltby, South Yorkshire, S66 8LG — a company separate from JDD Fitness Centre Limited. Hub address: 21a High Street, Maltby, S66 8LG. Contact: 07519 668865.

2. Eligibility

Members aged 18 or over may join and use the facility alone, including during unstaffed hours. Members aged 14–17 may join with parent or guardian consent and may only use the facility when accompanied by a member aged 18 or over who accepts responsibility for them. Our insurance covers members aged 14 and over.

3. The Memberships

Two memberships are offered: the Founding Membership at £89.99/month, limited to the first 30 members, and the Full Membership at £99.99/month. Both include the same benefits: 24-hour fob access (including unstaffed hours); full use of strength-training equipment; cardio equipment including treadmill, rowing machine, SkiErg, air bike and spin bike; recovery facilities and equipment; showers, changing facilities and vanity area; free tea, coffee and bottled water; a monthly guest pass; a JDD travel mug; and access to wider JDD Fitness facilities or services where specifically included in your membership. Included facilities and benefits may change from time to time in line with clause 10.

4. Payment authority

At registration you provide card details and authorise recurring payments at your membership rate (£89.99/month founding, or £99.99/month full) via Stripe. No money is collected until your first payment date (clause 5).

5. First payment & billing

New members: your monthly payment date is the date you signed up. If you sign up before opening, no payment is taken until your membership begins — your first payment is collected on 5 September 2026 (opening), or another date we confirm in advance, and your sign-up date then becomes your ongoing monthly payment date.
Existing JDD members: your membership moves onto your existing payment date — your billing date does not change.
Thereafter your monthly rate is collected on your payment date each month (or the nearest working day). We give advance notice of your first payment and of any change to your billing date.

6. Failed payments

Keep valid payment details on file. If payment fails we may re-attempt and will contact you. Access may be suspended while a balance is outstanding; persistent non-payment may lose the founding rate (clause 8) and lead to termination (clause 20). Amounts properly due for membership already provided remain payable.

7. Minimum term & rolling membership

Minimum term: 2 months from your first payment date. Thereafter membership rolls monthly until cancelled under clause 9.

8. Founding-member rate

If you hold a Founding Membership, your founding rate (currently £89.99/month) applies while your membership stays active and uninterrupted. The founding rate may increase from time to time in line with general price increases, but it will always remain lower than the standard membership rate — as a founding member you will always pay less than members on the standard rate while your membership remains active and continuous. The founding rate may be lost if membership is cancelled, lapses, expires, or payments fail unresolved. Re-joining after ending membership is at standard pricing.

9. Cancellation & cooling-off

14-day cooling-off: joining online, you may cancel within 14 days without reason (contact 07519 668865). If you ask to start using the Hub within the 14 days and then cancel, a reasonable charge may apply for access already provided; otherwise anything paid is refunded in full.
Ongoing cancellation: after the cooling-off period and minimum term, give 30 days' notice; one further monthly payment is taken covering the notice period, after which membership and access end.
Refunds: except as required by UK consumer law, payments already due and membership time already used are not refundable. Statutory rights unaffected.

10. Changes to price, facilities & benefits

We may make reasonable changes to prices, facilities, opening hours, equipment or benefits, with reasonable notice of material changes. Any change to the founding rate is subject to clause 8: it will always remain lower than the standard membership rate.

11. Temporary closures

We may close all or part of the facility temporarily for maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, emergencies, safety or events outside our reasonable control, giving notice where possible. Short reasonable closures do not entitle a refund; prolonged closures will be handled fairly and in line with your legal rights.

12. 24-hour & unstaffed access

The Hub is unstaffed during some hours. You are responsible for deciding whether you can train safely without supervision and you use the facility during unstaffed hours at your own risk. Emergency numbers and the emergency procedure are displayed; a first aid kit and defibrillator are on site. In an emergency call 999 first. Familiarise yourself with fire exits on first attendance.

13. Health & safety

You confirm you are able to exercise. If you have a medical condition, injury, are pregnant or take relevant medication, seek medical advice first. Use all equipment safely and follow displayed instructions. An induction is mandatory before your fob is issued; do not use the facility unaccompanied until it is complete.

14. Equipment use

15. Showers & changing facilities

Keep facilities clean and hygienic; respect privacy; take care against slips. Photography or filming is strictly prohibited in showers, toilets and changing areas.

Use during unstaffed hours: showers and changing facilities are available during unstaffed hours, when no member of staff is on site. You use them during these hours entirely at your own risk. Take particular care on wet surfaces, and consider whether it is appropriate to use the showers when you are alone in the building. Floors may be wet — dry off in the designated area, report any hazard (leaks, broken fittings, blocked drains) to us as soon as possible on 07519 668865, and familiarise yourself with the emergency procedure displayed in the facility. There is no camera coverage in showers, toilets or changing areas, so during unstaffed hours nobody can see or respond to an incident in these areas — please keep your phone accessible and let someone know where you are if training and showering alone at quiet times.

16. Key-fob & building access

Your fob is personal — never share it. Tap in and out each visit. No tailgating or admitting unauthorised people. Lost fobs: £10 replacement. Your membership is with JDD Strength & Recovery Hub Limited; JDD Fitness Centre Limited is a separate company. Where your membership includes access to JDD Fitness Centre facilities or coached group sessions, that access is provided under a formal arrangement between the two companies. Both facilities operate as one JDD community, but your contract and payments are with JDD Strength & Recovery Hub Limited only.

17. Guest passes

Your monthly guest pass must be registered in advance. Guests must be 18+, remain accompanied by you at all times, and follow all rules. You are responsible for your guest.

18. CCTV & data protection

CCTV operates throughout (excluding showers, toilets, changing areas) for safety and security; fob access is logged. Personal data is processed under UK GDPR per Part B below.

19. Member conduct

Prohibited: dangerous or reckless lifting or machinery misuse; intimidation, threats, violence, fighting, harassment or discrimination; alcohol or drugs on the premises; smoking or vaping; inappropriate clothing or footwear; any behaviour endangering or disrespecting others.

20. Damage, suspension & termination

Deliberate, reckless or misuse damage may make you responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs. We may suspend or terminate membership for non-payment, unsafe behaviour, serious misconduct or breach. Serious matters may result in immediate termination; on termination for serious breach the founding rate and access end and no refund is due for the remaining period, subject to your legal rights.

21. Liability

Nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not responsible for accidents, injury, loss or damage not caused by our negligence — including where you exercise beyond your ability, ignore instructions, or train during unstaffed hours. You are responsible for your belongings; we are not liable for loss or theft except where caused by our negligence.

22. Complaints, changes, law

Concerns: contact 07519 668865. We may update these terms with reasonable notice of material changes; continued membership means acceptance. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
